ATMOSPHERE: Experiential Coffeeshop & Speakeasy Lands in Chattanooga June 28, 2025!

ATMOSPHERE, a coffee shop and speakeasy, invites its Downtown neighbors to attend its grand opening event on Saturday. 

Grand Opening Event:

• Saturday, June 28, 2025

• Doors Open: High Noon (12:00 pm)

• Landing Party: 16:20 (4:20 pm)

• Location: 807 Market Street (Downtown Chattanooga)

• 21+ Only

Atmosphere brings a hybrid coffee shop, and nightlife spot to Market Street. 

The coffee shop will serve up strong brews and a wide variety of tea, as well as baked goods and sweet treats. The speakeasy is located on the second level and will include specialty cocktails, beer, wine, infused beverages, late-night coffee, and snacks. 

Co-founders Matthew Nathaniel and Justin Bishoff considered potential locations across the Southeast before settling on Market Street. 

“Downtown Chattanooga really met all our requirements for a business location,” said Nathaniel. “Chattanooga is on an upward trajectory, and once we started doing the research, we saw so much potential in this city. This location is close to the Southside as well as all the cool things happening in the West Village, and still very accessible to the more tourist-heavy areas closer to the river. We envision this Market and MLK junction as the central hub and heart of Chattanooga in the future.”

Being part of the Business Improvement District and having access to the Downtown Chattanooga Alliance's services was a plus.

“We consider the DCA to be a bonus to this location, and Steve Brookes has already helped us connect with other business owners. We know from our past business experience operating businesses in other communities that a BID is really valuable because it helps us all work together to solve common problems. We’re excited to be a part of the district,” Nathaniel added.
