v DPSG Grant
o Homeward Bound Program
§ 18 Assisted in June - Hey Steve attached is the application for Randy Stowell transportation assistance. Thank you guys for everything you do ! Randy was reunited with his family and avoided sleeping in the streets.
o FPG Meeting – Electronic security services. Pilot program discussion. Looking at test locations and an August presentation to the board.
o Email meeting from Rachael Ruiz re: liability questions have been resolved.
v Bus Stops Market St – Discussion for need to have code enforcement and take a pro-active plan to address trash, public urination, feces, panhandling and harassment. Those causing problems for businesses simply move to the bus stop and then return to trespassing in front of businesses. Discussion of possible solutions include
o Camera’s
o Off Duty Officers (DPSG Money)
o Loss of rent
o Bus Stop Pilot – trespassing issues and enforcement?
o Could the bus stop be moved or changed in some way?
o Increase services are needed to address blight (DPSG money is approved for this.)
o Discussion of time for off-duty officers and specifications – important to track results, cost, and outcomes. We need officers who can make arrests. How will time to compensated?
o Could we pay to move a bus stop? Could some stops be eliminated?
Additional items:
v Continuing Education – All board members must complete the State’s continuing education program
v One of the YMCA’s concerns is the speed of cars coming off on 6th street exit – need to slow traffic there, discussion of options
v Great to have Spain here – the Ambassadors did a great job and got everythinged clean after the departure – had things back to normal within hours
v 4th of July – the Chainbreakers attended, seemed to go very well in our footprint

v Need to secure a new bookkeeper for next year
v Gordon is expecting us to be $60k to the good at the end of the year.
