Executive Committee Meeting

July 9th, 2025 - 2:00pm

1.     Call to Order and Minutes Approval

 Todd Philips called the meeting to order. Executive Committee members attending were Susan Harris (remote), Adam Kinsey and Gordon Stalans (remote). Also present was Steve Brookes, Executive Director of the DCA.

The minutes from the June 11th, 2025 Executive Committee meeting were approved.

2.     DCA Budget

Steve presented the budget to the City Council and it was approved at their July 8th meeting. The city will continue to bill for assessments.

3.     Homeward Bound

 The Hamilton County Commission approved giving $25,000 to the DCA for the Homeward Bound program.

 The program is now averaging almost one person assisted per day and earlier this year it was 8 to 10 per month.

4.     Finance Committee Update

 Gordon updated the committee on the finances. The year ended with a deficit of $65,000, which is $30,000 better than budget. There is currently $450,000 in the bank and about half of that is reserves.
