Our Downtown offers plenty of Instagram-worthy hotspots.

Here are the best places inside the BID to shoot fun photos whether you’re a true photog or know just enough about iPhone photo editing to be dangerous. 

West Village

Chattanooga’s West Village, home to hotels the Westin, BODE, The Read House and Hotel Indigo, offers quaint shopping, restaurants and several prime photo spots:

Located across from Easy Bistro, Umbrella Alley features colorful umbrellas creating a whimsical atmosphere.

Art Signs

You’ll also find several artsy signs around West Village for fun photos. You can’t miss them on Chestnut Street.

Change Starts Mural

This parking lot mural near Big River Grille’s Broad St. location encourages you to make positive changes from wherever you are and is a great photo op, especially if you can stop by when fewer cars are parked in front.

This alley at 709 Cherry Street includes 850 carbon fiber rods with 6,000 light-reflecting triangles. Different light at various times of day changes the look of this gorgeous photo locale.

This cute patio area with geometric sculptures invites you to get creative with photos.

Aquarium Vantage Points

It’s maybe the most iconic Chattanooga landmark. Whether it’s the plaza in front of the aquarium or the waterfront a few minutes’ walk away, this has to be included in any Downtown photo tour.
